Civically Engaged Scholars

Civically Engaged Scholars is a degree distinction seeking program, designed to encourage students to get involved with their local community members through a critically conscious lens. Students get the chance to learn in the classroom the importance of getting involved and then have opportunity to practice what they learned with one of our many local community partners.


Program Requirements

  • Complete 300 Hours of Engagment
  • Attend and Present at Spring Showcase
  • Attend the Civic Leadership Conference
  • Graduate with a 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA)

Civic Leadership Conference

The Civic Leadership Conference is focused on exploring different pathways of civic leadership and engagement to gain an understanding of varying effective approaches to community change.
