Mission SLCC Business Leaders Club (DECA/FBLA) meets every Wednesday at 1 pm in AAB 235DECA (formerly known as Distributive Education Clubs of America) and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) are both student organizations that focus on preparing young people for careers in business and leadership. Each organization has its own mission statement that reflects its goals and objectives. Here are their mission statements:DECA Mission Statement:"DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. DECA enhances the co-curricular education of members through a comprehensive learning program that integrates into classroom instruction, applies learning, connects to business and promotes competition. Our student members leverage their DECA experience to become academically prepared, community oriented, professionally responsible, experienced leaders."FBLA Mission Statement:"Our mission is to inspire and prepare students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences."
