The Engaged Learning Office at Salt Lake Community College supports students and faculty both inside the classroom and out through high-impact practices such as Community-Engaged Learning, Study Abroad, and Domestic Study. These high-impact practices promote deeper learning and also lead to higher student retention rates (Association of American Colleges & Universities, 2008). Make learning relevant while also gaining applicable college credits. Engage in experiential education that addresses pressing community and global issues, gain valuable career experience, network with diverse others, and participate in problem-based learning.
