On February 4th and February 19th our community experienced Zoombombings that left many of us reeling emotionally from the hate and racism that was spread. Since that time we have contracted with a group of Black/African heritage therapists, "The Black Clinicians" to provide support to our SLCC community members. During that time, the therapists will provide space for us to be together and express our emotions and provide tools for processing any triggers that may have happened and continue to linger. This first meeting in a series of five meetings and focuses on bringing students (BIPOC/PEOPLE OF COLOR/Global majority Students ONLY) together. Students if you have questions please reach out to Maria Martinez Maria.martinez @slcc.edu

*This is to serve as an acknowledgment that there was a tragedy that happened in Atlanta that targeted the Asian Community and has been escalating since COVID-19. We are in communications about what culturally responsive support would look like.
