About Us

LUChA is an acronym for Latinx/os/as United for Change and Activism. We are a student group at Salt Lake Community College that seeks to inspire students to become leaders in their communities with the goal of supporting the educational success of Latinx/a/o and other underrepresented youth. Through community service, cultural and leadership events, as well as peer mentorship, LUCHA members seek to increase the number of students attaining a college education and becoming professionals.
