This event explores the Black American Family Reunion as both a cultural tradition and a space for connection, joy, and wellness. Food, music, and movement have long been central to these gatherings, serving as ways Black American families bond, celebrate resilience, and create lasting memories. From soul food favorites to line dancing and shared movement, these traditions reflect how culture, community, and health intersect in Black American family life.

News and TV personality Deja Brown will guide participants through the history and cultural origins of the Black American Family Reunion, highlighting its role as a space for storytelling, celebration, and togetherness. Building on this foundation, the event will also feature an interactive dance and fitness experience led by LaDonte Lott, owner of JiggAerobics and Shark Tank alum, connecting movement and fitness to cultural expression and communal joy.

Students are encouraged to come dressed and ready to move, learn, and have fun while experiencing the spirit of family, unity, and wellness. Open to all students, this event invites everyone to celebrate culture, connect through movement, and experience the power of community.
