Built on a cohort model, SLCC's Honors program is a personalized, engaging, and transformative experience open to all SLCC degree-seeking students. Students in the Honors Program will sharpen their academic and scholarly skills through several rigorous Honors Courses that fulfill 9 credits of General Education: 3 in Social Sciences (SS), 3 in Humanities (HU), and 3 in the second half of Composition (EN). As well as Enrichment Experiences and the fulfillment of 3 High-Impact Practices.
Students can earn nine credits of their General Education requirements by successfully passing Honors-designated courses in Humanities, English, and Social Sciences.
Students must participate in two Enrichment Experiences of their choice per semester while in the Honors Program
Honors students are required to have an ePortfolio and engage in at least two other formal HIPs throughout their academic journey at SLCC
